12 Step Group

I've joined a 12 step group in hopes that I can beat my drinking problem before I'm so far gone that I lose everything. I've been to 4 meetings so far and I'm not sure it's helping. Everyone there just talks about using and it makes me want to drink even more. How can I make this work for me? Should I share my thoughts with the group?
